When you use PawMeds, we collect the minimum information needed to perform your pet medication search:

  • Medication name, dosage, and form you're searching for
  • Your location or ZIP code (to find nearby pharmacies and vet offices)
  • Your email address (to send search results)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card number)

What we do NOT collect

  • Your health records or medical history
  • Your insurance information
  • Your prescriber or doctor information
  • Any Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA

How we use your information

  • To call pharmacies near you and check medication availability
  • To send you search results and status updates via email
  • To process your payment
  • To issue refunds when applicable

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Search results and associated data are retained for 30 days to allow you to access your results page. After 30 days, search data is automatically deleted. Payment records are retained as required by law and Stripe's policies.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate PawMeds:

  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Gmail — Email notifications
  • Retell.ai — AI-powered pharmacy calls
  • Supabase — Database hosting
  • Vercel — Website hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data handling practices. We select services that maintain strong security and privacy standards.

Email communications

By providing your email address and checking the consent box, you agree to receive emails from PawMeds related to your pet medication search results and status updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
